President Sourav Ganguly of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) spent a “uneventful night” in the hospital on Saturday, had a light dinner and, according to the latest update, is “presently afebrile” He tested negative for COVID-19 and will undergo a Sunday morning standard ECG (electrocardiogram) test.
On Saturday, after being rushed to the hospital due to chest pain, Sourav Ganguly underwent angioplasty. As he complained of chest pain, the former India captain was exercising on a tread mill at his home gym.
The hospital said scans found he had experienced a minor heart attack and three coronary arteries had blockages in the famous former cricketer. BCCI secretary Jay Shah verified the growth and added that Ganguly was in stable condition.
