On March 3 (Wednesday), investigation unit of Income Tax Department is conducting searches at houses and offices of Madhu Mantena, actress Taapsee Pannu, director/producer Anurag Kashyap and Vikas Bahl. Madhu Mantena runs the talent management agency, Kwaan.
The raids are being conducted by the investigating agency at premises of film production company — Phantom Films — and people associated with it, reports Times of India. The raids are reportedly being conducted at around 20 locations in Mumbai, Pune and other places. Phantom Films was a film production and distribution company established by Kashyap, Bollywood director , Vikramaditya Motwane, producer Madhu Mantena and Vikas Bahl. The company was founded in 2011 by all four of them and it announced its dissolution on October 5, 2018.
It may be noted that Kashyap, Bahl and Pannu have been vocal on the social media platforms and have also raised their concern over the farmers’ protest, which has been going at the borders of the national capital since November 26 last year against the three farm laws.
