The defense Ministry issued a statement on Friday after former Congress president Rahul Gandhi alleged that the government gave ‘a piece of mother India to china’. Gandhi attacked the government over its agreement with China on disengagement of troops in Eastern Ladakh.
The Ministry of Defense stated that the line of actual control as per the Indian perception is at Finger 8 and not at Finger4 .This is the reason why India has always been repeating its demand for Patrol till Finger 8. According to the Ministry of defense it is not correct to say that the Indian territory is up to Finger 8. In the map of India, the territory of India also shows that which is under the occupation of China and which is about 43,000 square kilometers area.
The Defense Ministry also said that the Disputes in the Hot springs reasons Gogra and Depsang Valley will be resolved, talks have been started to restore the states of these areas. Indian forces are steadily reducing the number of troops in the area and moving armored vehicles after an agreement with China to repel troops in the Pan gong Lake area in eastern Ladakh after nearly nine months of fighting. Government has been confirmed this a day later on the withdrawal process of the armies of both countries.
