Saif Ali Khan’s starer new Web series Tandav came under allegations for hurting Hindu sentiments. The UP Police has filed a case against the maker of the series for promoting antagonism on the ground of religion through this series. The FIR filed also includes the names of Head of India original Content, Amazon. The case was filed by the UP Police hours after the center’s Ministry of Information and Broadcasting reportedly sought a response from Amazon Prime. The response was sought on a complaint filed by Maharashtra BJP MLA Ram Kadam.
Adding to the list, The Director, Producer, and Writer of the series also was accused. The complaint has been filed at Lucknow’s Hazratganj police station by a sub-inspector. As soon as the case was filed, Aditya Naths’ media advisor shared a copy of the same on his Twitter handle. “There is no tolerance for playing with people’s sentiments in Yogi Adityanath’s Uttar Pradesh. A serious case has been registered against the entire team of Tandav, which is spreading hate in the guise of cheap web series. Be prepared for arrest,” he wrote in Hindi.
Adding to this, He again made another tweet saying- “Be prepared to pay the price for hurting religious sentiments.” This tweet was mentioned for director Ali Abbas Zafar, producer Himanshu Mehra, writer Gaurav Solanki, and actor Saif Ali Khan.
