The Railway Recruitment Commission, RRB NTPC, has begun a written analysis. The RRB NTPC Step 1 computer-based evaluation or CBT for 23 lakh applicants concluded on 13 January. For another 27 lakh applicants, phase 2 CBT will commence from January 16. Experts have shared the anticipated cut-off for RRB NTPC 2021 reviews based on the examinations performed so far and input obtained.
RRB NTPC CBT is a document of 100 marks that includes a total of 100 questions. Any query contained 1 mark. To attempt the test, candidates were given 90 minutes or 1.5 hours. There are three parts of the document – Basic Knowledge, Algebra and General Intellect & Reasoning. 40 questions were asked by General Knowledge and 30 questions were each asked by Mathematics and General Int.
| Section | Total Questions | Expected Cut off |
| General Awareness | 40 | 20 – 28 |
| Mathematics | 30 | 18 – 25 |
| General Intelligence & Reasoning | 30 | 20- 26 |
| Overall | 100 | 47 – 63 |
Experts also recognized that the input received has been somewhat discontinued. A varied response was also received with the review being performed at different centres. Overall, however, the paper was said to have an easy to moderate difficulty rating. This is still just a provisional cut off and open to modification.
As more come for the test, the cut offs are likely to change. Based on the number of candidates who qualified for the RRB NTPC CEN 03/2019, 4 to 5 phases of CBT exams are required to take place. The second step will start from 16 January 2021 for 27 lakh applicants.
